Hi all:

Free, 1 hour tours of the Turlock Community Gardens (TCG) this academic year for all CSUS students, faculty, staff, and alumns.

Registration is required here: https://www.turlockcommunitygardens.org/csustours

Learn about about community gardens, organic gardening, composting, drip irrigation, and sustainable urban agriculture.

There are four plots for CSUS student groups: 1)Sustainable Agriculture; 2) Art; 3) Indigenous Students in Activism; and 4)EcoWarriors. If your students would like to get involved with the community garden, please contact those student groups or talk to your tour guide about becoming a volunteer.

The community garden is at 4105 Crowell Ave (behind the church), 2 blocks north of campus. TCG is a local nonprofit set up to establish community gardens in Turlock. https://www.turlockcommunitygardens.org/

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Julia

(Thanks to a campus grant from the Office of Service Learning that is supporting this TCG student ambassador/tour guide.)
